Lima, Peru – The Jorge Chávez International Airport is undergoing a significant transformation, with new infrastructure projects poised to enhance connectivity and services. Among these is the highly anticipated “Santa Rosa” road interchange, a crucial development announced by the Ministry of Transport and Communications. César Sandoval, Minister of Transport and Communications, stated, "The Santa Rosa road interchange is an ambitious project that is now becoming a reality. Construction is slated to commence in the first quarter of 2026, specifically in January of the next year." This project represents an investment exceeding 500 million soles, dedicated to constructing interconnected ramps, heavy load passes, and dedicated pedestrian and cycling paths, aiming to democratize access to the new airport terminal. Beyond road infrastructure, the airport complex is expanding to include a new five-star hotel. Mario Mustafá, President of the Board of Directors of 'Costa del Sol', highlighted the significance of the Wyndham Grand hotel, noting, "This is the first five-star hotel at Lima's airport and in South America, designed for discerning clients." The hotel aims to offer a premium experience, including a restaurant led by Executive Chef Victor Carhuajulca, who emphasized a menu featuring "super fresh artisanal fish brought in daily by our fishermen." These extensive state and private investments are designed to create a comprehensive 'micro-city' at the airport's doorstep, showcasing the best of Peru to the world and significantly improving the travel experience for millions.
