However, when the "curator" proposed a joint project, the woman invested more than 10,000 rubles in cryptocurrency. After this, the "partner" stopped communicating. Later, the scammer reappeared, claiming a serious illness and requesting money for medical treatment. The woman refused and reported the incident to the police. "This case serves as a stark reminder of the need to exercise caution when engaging in online investments," stated a spokesperson for the Minsk police. "Always verify the legitimacy of platforms and individuals before investing any funds." A criminal investigation into the fraud is underway.
