Pișcolt, Romania – Mayor Cosmin Varga recently provided an update on the significant modernization efforts transforming the commune of Pișcolt. Speaking on the progress, Mayor Varga highlighted several key projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents. Among the infrastructure developments, approximately 4 kilometers of streets and 7 kilometers of sidewalks are undergoing modernization. Additionally, plans are in motion to establish natural gas supply services for the villages of Resighea and Scărișoara Nouă. In the educational sector, the commune's schools are being equipped with essential IT equipment and textbooks to support modern learning environments. Furthermore, a new local market is being established, which is expected to greatly benefit the area's numerous vegetable farmers. Mayor Varga emphasized that this new market will provide a civilized framework for local citizens to purchase fresh produce, catering not only to Pișcolt residents but also to those from neighboring communes and even urban areas, given Pișcolt's reputation for significant vegetable farming potential.
