BUCHAREST, Romania – Calin Georgescu, a prominent public figure, delivered a scathing critique of the Romanian government today, asserting that the current administration is "pagan" and is pushing Romanians "against the wall." Speaking to reporters, Georgescu outlined his vision for a prosperous Romania, emphasizing the need for significant policy changes. Georgescu advocated for a series of measures aimed at strengthening the national economy and improving citizens' lives. "We need small taxes and duties for businesses to allow the country to develop," he stated, contrasting this with his call for higher taxes on the turnover of large corporations. He concluded by asserting that the Romanian people demand a state that works for its citizens, not against them, and a political class loyal to the country, not to group or foreign interests. He called for a secure future for young people, encouraging them to build their lives in Romania rather than abroad, and to have security today, not worry about tomorrow.
