Ukraine Streamlines Military Deferrals with New Online Application
Ukraine Simplifies Military Deferral Process: New 'Reserve Plus' Application Streamlines Applications Kyiv, Ukraine – The Ukrainian government has introduced a new online application, 'Reserve Plus,' to simplify the process of applying for military deferrals. This move aims to streamline the system and reduce bureaucratic hurdles for citizens seeking exemptions from military service. The application allows individuals to apply for deferrals based on temporary unfitness due to health reasons. "Before, the process was very complicated," explained a lawyer from Zhytomyr who recently posted a video explaining the application. "You had to go to the territorial recruitment center (TCK) and submit a written application. Now, it's all done online through 'Reserve Plus.'" The application requires applicants to submit necessary documentation, including medical records, to support their claim for a deferral. The application then forwards the request to the VLK (military medical commission) for review and assessment. This digital process is expected to significantly reduce processing times and alleviate the burden on both applicants and the military recruitment system. This initiative is a positive step towards modernizing Ukraine's military mobilization process, offering a more efficient and user-friendly experience for citizens while ensuring that the necessary medical evaluations are properly conducted.
