Explosion at Serres Hospital Morgue Injures Two During Maintenance

SERRES, Greece – An explosion occurred at the General Hospital of Serres on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in minor injuries to two individuals. The incident took place during routine maintenance work on the refrigeration units located in the hospital's morgue. According to initial reports, a 19-year-old worker and a 47-year-old hospital employee sustained light injuries and underwent medical examinations. Fortunately, no fire erupted as a result of the explosion. However, emergency services, including the Fire Department, promptly responded to the scene. The Serres Police Department has launched a preliminary investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
