Santa Cruz, Bolivia – June 26, 2025 – A violent home robbery occurred today in Santa Cruz on Avenida Tres Pasos al Frente. According to the victim, two armed individuals forced their way into the residence while a family, including a two-year-old child, was inside. The perpetrators pointed weapons at the residents, instructing them not to look and to turn around. They proceeded to steal various items including a television, DVR, cameras, cell phones, laptops, money, and the victim's wife's jewelry. The victim expressed immense fear, particularly for his young daughter, who remains traumatized by the incident. Authorities are investigating. Meanwhile, in La Paz, political tensions continue to escalate between the "Evistas" and "Arcistas" factions as general elections approach. Both sides are exchanging accusations regarding the internal divisions within the political instrument. The "Evistas" blame President Luis Arce for the separation within the party, while the "Arcistas" hold former President Evo Morales responsible for creating discord among social movements. The opposition believes that these internal conflicts bring them closer to returning to power. In Cochabamba, municipal authorities, supported by the Zoonosis department, intervened in a clandestine puppy breeding facility. Approximately 40 dogs were found in extremely poor conditions, with two in a deplorable state. The director of Zoonosis stated that the individuals responsible will face non-pecuniary sanctions, meaning they will be prohibited from owning dogs for life, in addition to the confiscation of the animals. The confiscated dogs are now under the care of the Zoonosis department at EMSA facilities.
