DNA Confirms Identity of Deceased Infant After Hospital Registration Error in Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz, Bolivia – A family in Santa Cruz has finally received confirmation regarding the identity of their deceased infant, following a distressing hospital error. DNA test results, released today, have conclusively identified the baby as their son, rectifying an initial registration mistake where the gender was incorrectly recorded as "girl" instead of "boy." The father, Jarverd Ramos, expressed a mix of relief and continued concern. "We have received all the DNA test results," he stated. "Everything is in order regarding the baby. What is confirmed is that they made a mistake in the transcription during registration." He further added, "Now we are much more at peace because we have fulfilled everything related to the sacred burial of the baby." The error caused significant anguish for the family, who initially doubted if the deceased infant was indeed theirs due to the incorrect hospital records and the condition of the body. Ramos highlighted that such incidents generate great suspicion among parents and emphasized the importance of preventing similar mistakes in the future. The baby has since been buried in the municipal cemetery of Cotoca.
