MONTERO, Bolivia – Following violent incidents after a football match between Guabirá and Oriente Petrolero, Club Guabirá has called for an urgent meeting with other Cruceño clubs and relevant authorities. The aim is to address security concerns and implement measures to prevent future occurrences. Matías Machado, a presenter for Red Uno, reported on the aftermath of the match, highlighting the severity of the confrontations. Robert Limpias, manager of Club Guabirá, expressed strong concern regarding the lack of an effective operational plan during the event's conclusion. "We regret that the operational plan that should have been in place, especially by the local team's organization, Oriente Petrolero, was not carried out," Limpias stated. Limpias further emphasized the need for comprehensive security improvements. "We must sit down and analyze among all clubs, with all pertinent authorities, and the organizing body, to take action," he urged. A key proposal under consideration is to prohibit fan groups from attending matches at the Gilberto Parada Stadium in Montero. "If necessary, as the councilman mentioned, we must prevent fan groups from coming," Limpias added, stressing that the well-being of the public should be the primary concern. "We believe people come first, and then the spectacle. So, hopefully, action will be taken on this matter."
