SANTA CRUZ, Bolivia – A man in Santa Cruz recently became the victim of a violent robbery near the city's iconic "pirate plane" landmark, an incident that included the assailant biting the victim's nose. The victim reported the harrowing experience to the Bolivian police, leading to an investigation into the aggravated robbery. According to the victim's statement, on Tuesday, July 15, at approximately 9:30 PM, he was walking near the First Ring, by the "pirate plane" when two individuals intercepted him. "They asked me for money and started searching all my pockets, from where they took 100 Bolivianos," the victim recounted. He further detailed the assault: "Not satisfied with that, the assailant approached me and bit my nose, leaving me severely injured until I had to hand over my green cell phone." The suspects then fled the scene. Immediately following the attack, the victim and his mother pursued one of the assailants. With the assistance of security guards, they successfully apprehended the individual in the "Los Pozos" area. The police were then contacted to take custody of the suspect and continue with the investigation.
