La Paz, Bolivia – With only 22 days remaining until the general elections on August 17th, Bolivia's electoral calendar continues its progression, outlining key activities for citizens and candidates. This Sunday marks the final day for citizens selected as electoral jurors to present their excuses. The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) has identified 204,000 jurors nationwide. Failure to present an excuse or attend the electoral table will result in a fine of 1,300 Bolivianos. Following the excuse period, mandatory training for electoral jurors will commence. In Santa Cruz, a large gathering for jurors will be held at the Gilberto Parejas Coliseum, located in District 4. "It is essential that they attend this Sunday, July 27th, at the Gilberto Parejas Sports Coliseum," stated a representative from the TSE. Looking ahead, Sunday, August 3rd, will open an exceptional period for the disqualification of candidacies. This provision allows for the challenging of candidates based on proven violations of Law 026, with this period extending until August 13th. On August 10th, the TSE will publicly announce and disseminate the locations of the voting tables, including specific precincts, seats, and constituencies. Subsequently, on August 14th, the locations for the departmental vote counts will be revealed. The electoral campaign will officially conclude on Friday, August 15th. After this date, any dissemination of content that could benefit a candidate will be prohibited until election day. The Supreme Electoral Tribunal reaffirms its commitment to guaranteeing the integrity and successful execution of the August 17th elections.
