A FLIGHT attendant has revealed the five things you should never wear on a plane. So if you’re lucky enough to be jetting abroad any time soon, then …
Copenhagen, Denmark – A flight attendant, known online as sillerydell, has shared crucial advice on what passengers should avoid wearing during flights to ensure comfort and safety. In a recent video, the experienced cabin crew member highlighted several common clothing choices that can lead to discomfort or pose risks at 38,000 feet. According to the flight attendant, shorts and crop tops are ill-advised due to the often-cold cabin temperatures, which can make bare skin uncomfortable. Flip-flops are also on the 'no-fly' list, not only for their impracticality during quick movements like running to a gate but also for safety reasons in emergency situations, where secure footwear is paramount. Further, she cautioned against wearing polyester and other synthetic fabrics, explaining that breathable materials are essential given fluctuating cabin temperatures. In a more critical safety note, she warned that synthetic tights could pose a risk in case of a fire, potentially melting onto the skin. Lastly, tight, non-stretchy clothing is discouraged, as the body tends to bloat during flights, making snug garments feel restrictive and uncomfortable. The flight attendant emphasized the importance of choosing comfort, safety, and easily adjustable layers for any journey.
