Madrid, Spain – A recent analysis has shed light on the staggering operational expenses of the Primark store on Gran Vía, widely recognized as the largest in Spain. According to figures presented by Jaime, a representative from SUOP, the monthly costs for maintaining this colossal retail space are immense. The store's rent alone is estimated at 1.8 million euros per month. With approximately 600 employees, salary expenditures reach nearly 2 million euros. Additional overheads include 100,000 euros for cleaning, security, and insurance, alongside 20,000 euros for utilities such as electricity and water. Furthermore, the inventory held within the store is valued at an estimated 7.7 million euros each month. These combined figures push the total monthly operational cost beyond 11.7 million euros, or roughly 392,000 euros daily. Despite these significant outlays, the Primark outlet reportedly generates sufficient sales to cover all expenses and secure an 11% profit margin, underscoring its robust commercial performance in one of Madrid's prime shopping districts.
