Sydney Truck Driver Ambushed, Shot; Two Cars Found Burned Out A 29-year-old truck driver was ambushed and shot on Donald Street in Yennora, Sydney, around 11:20 PM on Monday. Police say a car pulled up in front of the truck, and a man exited, firing several shots, hitting the driver in the wrist and abdomen. The gunman then fled the scene. NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the driver at the scene before taking him to Liverpool Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. Shortly after the shooting, police found a Lexus sedan alight on Dickman Street, South Granville, and a second burning car on Boundary Road, Chester Hill. Police are investigating the links between the shooting and the car fires. Crime scenes have been established at all three locations. No arrests have been made. "The 29-year-old was driving along Donald Street when a car stopped in front of him," a police spokesperson stated. The investigation is ongoing, and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
