RFK Jr. and Dr. Oz Hike Together, Advocate for Outdoor Activity and National Health Savings
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Mehmet Oz were recently seen hiking together at the scenic Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, uniting to advocate for the health benefits of outdoor activity. In a video released by TMZ, Kennedy, identifying himself as a potential HHS Secretary, and Oz, a CMS Administrator, emphasized the positive impact of hiking on focus, clarity, and creativity. Dr. Oz highlighted the cardiovascular advantages of regular walks and stated that a mere 15 minutes of daily walking could save the nation an estimated $100 billion in health expenses. Kennedy added that walking with a friend fosters intimacy and connection, leading to discussions that might not otherwise occur. Both figures expressed concern over the current trend of children spending significantly more time on cell phones than outdoors, with Kennedy noting that the average child spends about seven hours on a phone versus less than 70 minutes outside. They called for a shift in this behavior, suggesting that increased outdoor activity could lead to a "much better life."
