Власти с привлечением милиции продолжают бороться с «тунеядцами» и призывают устраиваться на работу.
MINSK, Belarus – Belarusian citizens classified as "idlers" are reportedly being called in by police for preventative discussions, urging them to secure employment. In response to this government initiative, a new method is gaining traction among those seeking to avoid this classification: registering as a self-employed individual through the "Profdokhod" application. The process, as explained in a recent viral video, involves downloading the "Profdokhod" app, registering with the tax authorities, and selecting the option to provide services via the internet. This allows individuals to offer their skills on freelance platforms, with payments directly deposited into their Belarusian bank accounts. Proponents of this method assert that it is entirely legal and requires only a 10% tax payment on earnings, thereby exempting individuals from the "idler" designation and any associated legal repercussions. This approach offers a pathway for citizens to formalize their income-generating activities and comply with state requirements.
