BELGRADE, SERBIA – Two aspiring DJs from Belgrade, known as Troffea, recently undertook an unconventional challenge: traveling to Ada Bojana, Montenegro, with a zero-euro budget to land their first professional DJ performance. The duo, who prefer to remain identified by their stage name, documented their journey, showcasing a remarkable blend of resourcefulness and determination. Their adventure began with a crucial act of kindness, as a friend named Vlada offered them a free ride from Serbia to the Montenegrin coast. Upon arrival, the DJs faced immediate logistical hurdles, including the humorous realization that they had forgotten their sleeping bags. Despite this, they quickly established a makeshift camp and ingeniously repurposed an ironing board as their DJ booth, complete with a controller and portable speaker. The highlight of their trip was an impromptu performance on Ada Bojana beach, where their vibrant music attracted a diverse crowd, including numerous children who spontaneously began dancing. "Our plan was simple: pack our gear, go to Ada Bojana, and without money or connections, try to achieve our first DJ gig – totally on our own," one of the DJs stated in their video. "It's about resourcefulness, meeting new people, good will, and music." The duo expressed their hope to earn enough money from their performances to extend their stay, proving that passion can indeed pave the way for unexpected opportunities.
