
Former Cumbia Dancer Among Two Found Slain and Incinerated in Tumbes
TUMBES, Peru – Authorities in Tumbes are investigating the gruesome discovery of two bodies in a desolate area of Pampas de Hospital. One of the victims has been identified as Yeni Hanaloca Laura, a 24-year-old former cumbia orchestra dancer. Laura had recently arrived in Tumbes from Ayacucho, accompanied by Juan Antonio Quispe. According to preliminary findings from the necropsy, both victims suffered brutal beatings before being incinerated. Their remains were subsequently transported and abandoned in a remote part of the Belén hamlet, far from the urban center. Investigators from the National Police and the Public Ministry are currently pursuing the hypothesis of a possible settling of scores as the motive behind the double homicide. As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby security cameras and collecting statements from individuals in the area to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
