Violent Collision in Lima: Metropolitano Bus Driver in ICU After Crash

Lima, Peru – A violent collision occurred today in Alfonso Ugarte, involving a Metropolitano bus and an "anconero" vehicle. The incident resulted in multiple injuries, with eight passengers from the Metropolitano bus, including its driver, being transported to Clínica Internacional. The Metropolitano bus driver is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to the severity of their injuries. Eyewitnesses and initial reports indicate a significant impact between the two vehicles. Footage from the scene shows considerable damage to both the Metropolitano bus and the "anconero" unit. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. Meanwhile, other injured individuals who were traveling in the "anconero" vehicle were directed to Hospital Loayza for medical attention.
