Lima, Peru – Over 5,000 food enthusiasts gathered recently for the "Maestros Cusqueña - El Festival," a vibrant gastronomic event celebrating Peru's rich culinary heritage. The festival brought together renowned "huariques" from Lima, Arequipa, and Chiclayo, offering attendees a diverse array of dishes. Participants indulged in a wide selection of Peruvian cuisine, including traditional grills, fresh marine delights, innovative Nikkei dishes, and regional specialties. Popular items like "rocoto relleno" and "quesito al horno" from La Huerta de Loncco were particularly sought after, selling out rapidly. Beyond the culinary offerings, the festival featured live music performances and an immersive train experience, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for all ages. A notable highlight was the introduction of Cusqueña Trigo Cero, presented as the first alcohol-free wheat beer produced in Peru. The new beverage was available for tasting alongside various food pairings. The event, organized by Cusqueña, aimed to provide a platform for showcasing the country's culinary talent and offering a memorable experience for attendees. The large turnout underscored the public's keen interest in gastronomic festivals and local flavors.
