La nueva Ley de Bienestar Animal introduce un curso gratuito y online para futuros propietarios de perros
Madrid, Spain – A new legislative proposal in Spain aims to introduce a mandatory online course and civil liability insurance for dog owners. The proposed law, currently in a public hearing phase until July 16th, is expected to pass and significantly impact current and future pet owners.According to the details shared in the video, aspiring dog owners will be required to complete a free, four-hour online course on responsible dog ownership. This course, once completed, will provide a permanent accreditation. While the course is specifically for new owners, all dog owners, including those who currently own a dog, will be obligated to acquire civil liability insurance for their pets. This insurance will cover potential damages caused by the dog.The initiative is part of a broader animal welfare law and seeks to prevent dog abandonment by ensuring owners are well-informed and responsible. The Ministry of Social Rights is developing the online platform for the course.
