Malaysian Maritime Agency Rescues 203 in 108 Search and Rescue Operations KUCHING, SARAWAK—The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has announced the successful completion of 108 search and rescue (SAR) operations up to May 2025, resulting in the rescue of 203 individuals. The agency's commitment to public safety was highlighted, particularly during periods of increased maritime activity such as holidays. The MMEA's Director General, Datuk Mohamad Rosli Abdullah, stated, "Despite the challenges, the safety of lives remains our top priority."
