Customer Faces Bureaucracy Over Expired Gift Certificate
A local resident recently shared her frustrating experience with an expired gift certificate from the lingerie company Milavitsa. The woman, who received a 50 Belarusian ruble certificate as a New Year's gift, explained that it had a three-month validity period. She admitted to overlooking the expiration date and attempted to redeem it in mid-April. According to the woman, Milavitsa's policy required her to provide documented proof, such as travel tickets confirming her absence from the country or medical certificates, to justify her inability to use the certificate within its validity period. "I was told I needed to provide copies of tickets confirming I was out of the country or medical certificates," she stated. She expressed her disappointment with the company's strict internal rules, contrasting it with her own approach as a small business owner, where she prioritizes customer convenience and flexibility.
