Mladenovac Resident Witnessed Horrific Dog Attack, Urges Responsible Pet Ownership
MLADENOVAC – A distressing incident involving a dog attack has prompted a local resident to share her experience and advocate for responsible pet ownership. Una Glišić, speaking from her car, described witnessing a large dog, reportedly off its leash, violently attack a smaller dog at a traffic light in Mladenovac. Glišić recounted, "I was at a traffic light when I noticed a huge dog, literally like a calf, running towards a smaller dog. It grabbed the small dog and started shaking it like a toy." She expressed her shock and helplessness during the event, stating that she was still shaken by what she saw. The owner of the smaller dog, a woman, was reportedly half inside a nearby store when the incident occurred. Another man attempted to intervene by kicking the larger dog, but to no avail. Glišić emphasized the importance of pet owners being vigilant and keeping their animals on a leash, especially large breeds. "Please, be careful, protect your pets. Always be alert, always keep an eye on them," Glišić urged. She highlighted the potential dangers, noting that such incidents could involve children or lead to severe injuries. She stressed that owning a pet comes with great responsibility and love, and that owners, not animals, are to blame for such aggressive behavior. "You cannot simply acquire a dog and then neglect it. It's like a child; it requires immense love and care to ensure it knows what is acceptable and what is not." Glišić, who identifies herself as being from Mladenovac, appealed to anyone with information about the well-being of the small dog to contact her, expressing her sincere hope that it survived the attack.
