
Santa Cruz Facing Scheduled Water Cut: SAGAPAC Announces Network Modernization
Santa Cruz residents are urged to prepare for a scheduled water cut affecting several zones of the city. The Cooperative of Water and Sewage Services of Santa Cruz (SAGAPAC) announced a planned water service interruption from 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, until 6:30 AM on Thursday, June 5th. The interruption will impact the city center, the second ring road, the northern zone, and the industrial park. According to Fernando Suarez, Head of Media for SAGAPAC, "This is part of a larger project to optimize and modernize the potable water network in Santa Cruz." He added that the service will be restored by 6:30 AM on Thursday. SAGAPAC recommends residents to store water in advance. The planned service interruption is expected to improve water service efficiency in the long run.
