Two Macabre Discoveries Rock La Paz and El Alto in a Single Day

La Paz, Bolivia – July 25, 2025 – Authorities in La Paz and El Alto are investigating two separate, macabre discoveries made on the same day, raising concerns about public safety. Police are working to determine if the incidents are connected or isolated criminal acts. The first discovery occurred in the Chinchaya area of La Paz, where a couple found a dismembered human arm in the backyard of their home. Following this grim find, police located the rest of the body in the Valle de las Flores. The victim has been identified as Oscar Raúl Yucra Santos, a 22-year-old originally from Cochabamba. An autopsy revealed that Yucra died from a severe blow to the head and sustained multiple fractures, suggesting a violent death. Investigators believe the arm may have been discarded under the cover of darkness. Hours later, another shocking discovery was made at the Villa Ingenio landfill in El Alto. Police found the body of an unidentified man, estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old. Initial reports indicate the body was transported to the landfill by a garbage collection truck. The autopsy confirmed that this victim also succumbed to a forceful blow to the head. As of now, the identity of the second victim remains unknown. Both cases are under active investigation by law enforcement. Authorities have not ruled out that these are criminal acts and are working to piece together the circumstances surrounding these disturbing findings.
