KUALA LUMPUR – A prominent religious scholar and TV personality, known as Ustaz Bola, has issued a stern reminder on the sanctity of marital privacy, following a recent incident involving a social media influencer. The influencer reportedly disclosed intimate details of their marriage, including contracting herpes from oral sex with their spouse, sparking widespread discussion online. In a video statement, Ustaz Bola emphasized the Islamic prohibition against revealing private marital affairs. He quoted a Hadith from Sahih Muslim, which states: “Indeed, among the worst people in the sight of Allah on the Day of Judgment is a man who has intimate relations with his wife, and then reveals her secrets.” “While intimate relations between a husband and wife are permissible and rewarded in Islam, sharing these private details publicly is strictly forbidden,” Ustaz Bola asserted. He advised individuals to maintain modesty and confidentiality regarding their marital lives, particularly concerning sensitive matters like health conditions. “Such issues should be confined to the couple or discussed with medical professionals, not broadcast to the public,” he added, urging both husbands and wives to be more discerning in what they share.
