Belarus and Vietnam Forge Strategic Partnership, Boosting Industrial Ties

MINSK, BELARUS – In a significant development in international relations, Belarus and Vietnam have formalized a strategic partnership. The agreement, signed on May 12, 2025, focuses on boosting industrial cooperation, particularly in the field of machine building. The Belarusian side emphasized its commitment to increasing the supply of Belarusian-made machinery to Vietnam. "Vietnam is one of Belarus' key partners in Southeast Asia," stated a Belarusian official involved in the negotiations. The partnership also includes plans to enhance collaboration in science and technology. Both countries agreed to hold regular meetings of the Belarusian-Vietnamese commission on scientific and technological cooperation.
