Penang Doctor Dies in Fatal Road Accident A government doctor was killed in a road accident in Bayan Lepas, Penang, on June 4, 2025. The accident occurred on Jalan Tun Dr Awang when the doctor's car veered off the road and collided with a motorcycle. According to Chief of West Daya Police, ACP Shazali Adam, "The accident is believed to have happened after the driver lost control of the vehicle, veering into oncoming traffic before colliding with a motorcycle." The motorcyclist sustained injuries to their legs and arms and was taken to a hospital in Penang for treatment. The doctor was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating the incident under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
