Economic Analyst Jaime Dunn Calls for Elimination of Bolivia's Ministry of Justice
La Paz, Bolivia – Economic analyst Jaime Dunn has called for the elimination of Bolivia’s Ministry of Justice, asserting that the institution undermines the independence of the judicial branch. During a recent panel discussion on eju.tv, Dunn stated, "We must eliminate the Ministry of Justice because it violates the independence of the judicial power." Dunn elaborated on his position, arguing that the Ministry of Justice, along with the Ministry of Government, has been established to allow the executive branch to exert undue influence over the judiciary. "The Ministry of Justice was created so that the executive power can be above the judicial power and can manipulate it whenever it wants," he explained. He cited recent events as clear examples supporting his long-held view that such ministries are not designed to protect Bolivian citizens. "Those ministries are there to persecute Bolivian citizens, and that is why they should not exist if we want true justice in Bolivia," Dunn concluded.
