Santa Cruz, Bolivia – A persistent cold front is expected to keep temperatures low in Santa Cruz and other parts of Bolivia until Friday, according to Cristina Chirinos, Regional Director of Senamhi. The cold air mass, which entered the region on Sunday afternoon, has led to a significant drop in temperatures. Chirinos reported that minimum temperatures in Santa Cruz are forecast to reach as low as 7°C. While maximum temperatures are anticipated to gradually increase to around 15-16°C by tomorrow, and potentially 19°C by Thursday, mornings will remain cold. By Friday, the maximum could reach 22-23°C, but these temperatures are still considered low for Santa Cruz. Furthermore, the cold front has impacted not only Santa Cruz but also the entire Eastern and Western regions of Bolivia. Temperatures below 0°C have been registered in the West, and temperatures close to 0°C have been observed in the valleys. The prevailing wind direction will continue to be from the south, and skies are expected to be clear to partly cloudy, contributing to the continued cold conditions.
