    Alexia Putellas Shares Her Deep Love for Catalan Traditional Cuisine

    BARCELONA - Football superstar Alexia Putellas recently offered fans a rare glimpse into her personal life, discussing her favorite traditional Catalan dishes in an interview. The FC Barcelona Femení captain, known for her prowess on the field, revealed her culinary preferences with genuine enthusiasm. Putellas expressed a strong fondness for "escudella," a hearty Catalan soup, stating, "I like cannelloni, but I prefer soup. Escudella, I could eat it every night in winter." She also highlighted "trinxat de la Cerdanya," a dish made with potatoes, cabbage, and pork, as another top choice. "I really like trinxat, with a bit of bacon and botifarra," she commented, emphasizing its rich flavors. When faced with the choice between "pan con tomate" (bread with tomato) and other traditional options, Putellas unequivocally chose the former. "Pan con tomate, 100 percent," she affirmed, adding, "I could eat pan con tomate every day." Her candid responses provide an endearing insight into the cultural connections that shape her off-field experiences, showcasing the simple yet profound joy she finds in her regional cuisine.
