Lori Stuck in Johor Tunnel After Driver Ignores Height Restrictions

A lorry driver's oversight led to a dramatic incident yesterday afternoon at 4.28 pm in Bukit Kecewa, Jalan Ibrahim, Labis, Johor. The lorry, exceeding the height restriction of a 3-meter tunnel, became wedged, causing significant damage to its upper section. According to the Segamat District Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Zamry Marinsah, "The driver, a man in his twenties, was traveling from Labis to Selangor. He was thankfully unharmed." The incident is under investigation under Section 79(2) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for failing to adhere to traffic signals. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to height restrictions to prevent accidents.
