
New Lim Chu Kang Road Opens in Singapore: Improved Connectivity and Safety
Singapore's Lim Chu Kang Road Realignment Opens June 8th Singapore's Lim Chu Kang Road will undergo a significant transformation on June 8th, 2025. The existing road will close temporarily to make way for a realigned 8km stretch, opening on the same day. This project, crucial for the expansion of Tengah Air Base, will feature a new signalised T-junction with Jalan Bahar, enhancing traffic flow and connectivity. Beyond the main road improvements, eight new bus stops have been added along the realigned route, improving public transport access for residents and commuters. New footpaths on both sides of the road will also enhance pedestrian safety and connectivity. "The realignment of Lim Chu Kang Road is a key project designed to support the growth of the Tengah Air Base and improve the overall infrastructure of the area," said a spokesperson from the Land Transport Authority (LTA). "We're committed to ensuring a smooth transition during the closure and a seamless experience for commuters once the new road opens."
