Athens, Greece – The Greek Ministry of Health has launched a new digital platform, Axiologisi.ESY.gov.gr, enabling patients to evaluate their experience in public hospitals. The initiative, announced by the Deputy Minister of Health, aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of the National Health System (ESY). Starting today, patients discharged from public hospitals will receive an SMS containing a link to the platform. This new tool allows them to provide feedback on various aspects of their hospital stay, including accessibility, the quality of care received, the professionalism of the staff, the food, cleanliness, and the level of support and information provided. According to the Deputy Minister, "For the first time, patients hospitalized in public hospitals across the country will be able to evaluate their experience. This new digital evaluation tool will allow us to identify problems early, lead to more effective and efficient hospitals, improve the quality of health services, and highlight good practices." He emphasized that the goal is to create "a reliable health system that learns from the patient and changes for the patient." This move signifies a step towards greater transparency and patient involvement in the Greek public healthcare system, with the aim of fostering continuous improvement based on direct user feedback.
