COCHABAMBA, BOLIVIA – A 43-year-old man, identified as a local bread vendor, was apprehended by police today after allegedly attacking six individuals with a knife in the bustling downtown area of Cochabamba. The incident, which sowed panic among merchants and passersby on Heroínas and Belzu avenues, has led to multiple victims seeking medical attention and filing formal complaints. According to reports from Red Uno, one of the victims, a taxi driver, sustained a stab wound to his left arm. He was reportedly waiting at a traffic light when the unprovoked assault occurred. Family members of the victims have arrived at the local police station (FELCC) to provide their declarations and demand swift justice. One family member expressed dismay, stating, "It's a bit sad to see people with this attitude on our streets. I don't know what to expect. Citizen security is really going very badly." He also voiced frustration regarding the alleged attacker's calm demeanor while awaiting questioning, asserting that the individual "should already be behind bars." The suspect reportedly made a chilling statement upon his apprehension, declaring, "I'm going to write everything that happened in a notebook." He is currently being held at the FELCC offices, where he is providing his official statement to authorities.
