La Paz, Bolivia – An 11-year-old girl is recovering at home after sustaining first and second-degree burns during the Fiestas Julias in La Paz. The incident occurred when the minor was caught in a crowd surge and subsequently had a pot of hot tea spill on her. The Municipal Emergency Response Group (GAEM) swiftly intervened, rescuing the girl and transporting her to the Children's Hospital. There, she received specialized medical attention for her burns. Authorities confirmed her condition is stable, and she is now recovering favorably. Lieutenant Michael Guzmán, Commander of GAEM, addressed the public regarding the incident. "We urge everyone to avoid bringing minors to centers of high concentration," Guzmán stated. "We are unnecessarily exposing our children to places where they might witness things they shouldn't, or worse, get lost or injured, as happened in this case with the hot tea." The commander emphasized the need for parental caution during large public gatherings.
