La Paz, Bolivia – The Minister of Education, Omar Veliz, has officially announced that classes across Bolivia will resume on Monday, July 28, implementing various modalities to accommodate different regions. The decision comes after a period of academic pause. During a press conference, Minister Veliz detailed the specific arrangements for several key areas. "The return to classes on Monday, July 28, will be under two modalities," Veliz stated. He confirmed that distance learning will be maintained in municipalities such as Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Cabezas, Cuatro Cañadas, and La Guardia, all within the Santa Cruz department. Similarly, the cities of El Alto and La Paz in the La Paz department, as well as Potosí city in the Potosí department, and Sacaba and Omereque municipalities in the Cochabamba department, will also continue with distance education. For all other municipalities and regions not specifically mentioned for distance learning, students are expected to return to in-person classes. The Ministry emphasized that these measures are designed to ensure the continuity of education while adapting to local conditions.
