Bolivia: Minister of Education Announces Return to Classes with Dual Modalities

La Paz, Bolivia – Bolivia's Minister of Education, Omar Veliz, announced today the modalities for the return to classes across various municipalities, effective Monday, July 28th. The decision outlines a dual approach to resuming educational activities. Minister Veliz stated that the municipalities of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Cabezas, Cuatro Cañadas, and La Guardia in the Santa Cruz department, along with the cities of El Alto and La Paz in the La Paz department, and the city of Potosí in the Potosí department, will all return to distance learning. Additionally, Sacaba and Omereque in the Cochabamba department are also included in the distance learning modality. For the remaining municipalities across these departments and others throughout the country, the return to classes will be under the in-person modality. This announcement aims to provide clarity and direction for students, parents, and educators as the academic year progresses.
