A woman from Lima, Ohio, claims she was fired from her job at Buffalo Wild Wings after she faced racism and bullying from her co-workers.
Lima, Ohio – A former employee of Buffalo Wild Wings in Lima, Ohio, has brought forth serious allegations of racial discrimination and subsequent retaliation that she claims led to her termination. The individual, who identifies as a Black woman, shared her experience in a recent public statement, detailing a series of events that began shortly after she started working as a server at the establishment in August. According to her account, her work hours were significantly reduced, prompting her to inquire about the scheduling. It was during this inquiry that she reportedly discovered a work schedule in the manager's office that included a racial slur, "N*gga / Dorsey," explicitly written next to her name. "I immediately contacted HR and also put in an EEOC complaint," she stated, outlining her formal response to the alleged discrimination. Following these complaints, she claims the situation worsened. Her hours were further decreased, and she was deliberately removed from morning and high-earning game day shifts, despite having received comprehensive training for all shifts. The former employee further alleged that a group of co-workers, whom she identified as friends of the manager responsible for the discriminatory schedule, engaged in systematic harassment. This included intentionally delaying her customers' food orders, causing meals to be served cold. The most alarming incident, she recounted, occurred on October 6th, when two cooks allegedly pulled up a trash can, dug through its contents, and then proceeded to plate her personal food order, serving it to her. Three days after this incident, she was informed of her termination. The individual is now advocating for a boycott of the Lima, Ohio Buffalo Wild Wings location and its parent company, Arby's, urging public action against what she describes as unacceptable workplace practices. These allegations raise critical questions about corporate accountability and employee rights in the face of discrimination.
